G-D’s love and faithfulness

When people are trying to share Yeshua (Jesus) with those who do not yet believe that He is the Messiah, many times they will ask them to read the book of John for many reasons, not the least of which that John is among the shortest of the books, known by many as one of the Gospels. John’s writings also introduce the readers to Yeshua’s love in a unique and powerful way. The book of John is viewed as the most relational of the four Gospels and it is this relationship between G-D and man that people are attempting to share when encouraging those searching to read and find. John is filled with beautiful verses, many which are well known, such as John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He g

What We Can't Afford to Forget During a Mighty Move of God

A guideline of 7 steps in handling spiritual rebellion against a leader

Korach’s rebellion created an opportunity for Aaron to lay down his life for his people. As ministry leaders, we look to the Scriptures for inspiration and encouragement. The truth is there are times when we are going through difficult situations that we look through the Bible with our agenda looking to find verses and stories that will strengthen our position and provide ‘spiritual” ammunition to fire at those causing our problems. One example of a Biblical story that is used, and many times over-used in this way, is Korah’s rebellion found in Numbers 16. I cannot tell you how many times I have hear

The true essence of prayer

My favorite days are the ones that begin with me waking up already thinking about G-D. Those days, when the transition between sleeping and being awake (that almost dreamlike state), is filled with songs of praise and conversations with the Creator. It was a morning like that in which I realized one of the most important truths about my faith experience. I don’t know about you, but my favorite part of sleeping is the few minutes just before my eyes open. I say “few minutes,” but the truth is I am not sure how long these moments, minutes, or even hours take. I just know that it seems to be a blending, or merging, of time. In my mind and thoughts, I see an accumulation of years of events. Some

G-D’s promises are not affected by our actions

Recently, we had a special service at our synagogue in which we invited not only other Messianic Jewish congregations, but also may Christian congregations. In preparation for this service, we had meetings with the different people who would be involved in the different aspects of the service: from the worship team, which was made up of people from different congregations, to the people who would handle the presentation slides and videos. We were all very excited about the possibilities of the service as people from all over our area would be combined together as one voice of praise. As the day approached for service, as with most other things we do, what I call “ministry opportunities” (oth

Torah leading Israel and the Nations to Yeshua

Recently the internet has been filled with the discussion of the place and value of the Old Testament for believers in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus). Who it was that started the discussion is not nearly as important as the fact that the discussion is taking place. Honestly, I have to say I am thrilled to see so many of my friends in the Christian world having this discussion. It is a discussion that has been going on among my Messianic Jewish friends ever since I became a believer in Yeshua as Messiah. As I said above I am thrilled that this conversation is taking place and I hope that the dialog continues as more and more believers take the time to open their Bibles and re-investigate the Old Test
