“Get rid of every weight and entangling sin”

As a Jewish believer in Yeshua as Messiah, I am aware that we are fast approaching the Fall Holy Days of Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur. We are entering into the time of preparation during the forty days preceding Rosh HaShanah that begins with the month of Elul. Each year at this time, I look back at my life as a believer and rejoice in the overwhelming love that G-D showed to me when He revealed Yeshua as my Messiah. This year, I was thinking about the Book of Hebrews because it is so significant to the season as it discusses the High Priest and the Day of Atonement and explains how Yeshua became our High Priest, a topic I covered in last week’s blog. The often missed first step in becoming a believer in Yeshua

We live in a world that is physically visible, but ruled by the spiritual. The Sovereign that is King over all things is a Spirit and although we can see and function in the physical, everything we see is simply the manifestation of the spiritual reality. With this absolute truth in mind, it becomes easier to understand why so many people who believe in G-D still seem to function in broken states and not as the new creations the Word of G-D tells us that we are. Instead, your assistant that you have trained and mentored for years was going to take your place and lead the team to the end of the search and the fullness of the discovery. It would be easy to imagine from the scenar

Let me begin by being transparent about the truth that Friday used to be my least favorite day of the week. It was filled with angst and guilt as I looked at my list of “to do’s” and knew at the start I would never be able to finish all of them. Knowing at the outset of my day that I was going to fail affected my entire day. With each item that didn’t work, or perfectly to fit into my neatly arranged plan for the day, I would become more agitated and build up more guilt as time
